OUR STORY

Why we built SIAPURE

We were tired of stepping out of the shower with tight, itchy skin and that faint pool smell on our hands — because the water coming into our bathrooms is treated with chlorine, and we take it head to toe, every single day, without ever thinking about it.

Talking about it with friends, we realized we were far from alone. So we read our cities' water quality reports, compared filter media one by one, and built SIAPURE around the only combination that actually holds up at shower temperature: activated carbon and calcium sulfite, in a cartridge you swap yourself in thirty seconds.

SIAPURE does one thing and does it well — filter the chlorine out of your shower water — and tells you plainly what it doesn't do: it won't soften hard water, it won't cure anything, and it won't quote you a number we can't back up.

Will It Fit My Shower?

If your current showerhead unscrews from the arm coming out of the wall, yes. Siapure uses the standard 1/2-inch threaded connection found in nearly every US shower. It won't fit showerheads built into the wall or ceiling with no removable arm.

Is It Suitable for Sensitive Skin?

Yes. The activated carbon filter helps reduce chlorine, impurities, and residues that can leave skin feeling dry or uncomfortable.

How Often Should I Replace the Filter?

Replace the filter cartridge approximately every 2 to 3 months. Replacement frequency may vary depending on your water quality and usage.

How Do I Install It?

Simply remove your current showerhead and screw Purevia directly onto the shower hose. Once installed, use your shower as usual.

Is It Suitable for My Hair?

Yes. It is especially beneficial for dry, color-treated, or difficult-to-manage hair, helping it feel softer, smoother, and easier to style.

Will it soften my hard water?

No. Hard water is caused by minerals like calcium and magnesium, and no showerhead filter removes them. That takes a whole-house water softener. While we're at it, Siapure also won't:

  • remove fluoride, PFAS, lead or other heavy metals;
  • make water safe to drink;
  • treat any skin or scalp condition;
  • increase your water pressure or lower your water bill.

Will it help my skin or hair?

We don't make skin or hair claims. Here's what we can tell you: chlorine is added to disinfect city water, and some people find it leaves their skin and hair feeling dry after a shower. Siapure reduces chlorine. How that feels to you is yours to judge. Siapure is not a medical device and isn't intended to treat or prevent any condition. If you have a skin condition, talk to a dermatologist.

Do I need to change my routine?

No. Same shower, same soap, same five minutes. The filter works while you do nothing different. The only thing you'll ever do is replace the cartridge.

Will I actually feel a difference?

Honestly? Maybe, maybe not. It depends on how much chlorine your city uses, and that varies a lot from one place to the next. Some people notice right away that their shower no longer smells like a pool. Others don't notice much. You can check your water in your utility's annual Consumer Confidence Report (CCR).
